Jenkyn Place has released its newest Classic Cuvée which is young and fresh in style with a Chardonnay led blend, reminiscent of previous vintages.

Tasting Note:

On the nose a whiff of flinty smoke, lead pencil, and chalky green apples. Such precision and energy on the attack of the palate is very typical of the Jenkyn Place earlier vintages. The vineyard speaks again with this 2013: austere elements meet restrained power and latent richness; there is a feeling of compactness, slow-to-unfurl density and a rising, gentle florality. Youthful still, even 4 years after vintage, there is huge development potential here. Chardonnay-dominant as always, it combines the steeliness of a young Cotes de Blancs champagne with the tightrope acidity of the very best English sparkling wines. Fantastic clarity, purity, and engaging length will allow this wine excellent ageing prowess over the next 2-6 years.

3 years lees ageing.

Recommended as an aperitif especially with fresh seafood flavours, and also delightfully palatable on its own.

The recommended retail price for a 75cl bottle is £29.50
