JENKYN PLACE BLANC DE BLANCS BRUT 2015
This Blanc de Blancs is made only from our vineyards’ 8,500 Chardonnay vines. No Pinot Noir nor Pinot Meunier grapes have entered this wine. It is the first Blanc de Blancs we have ever made, and the 2015 Vintage, with its low yields and concentrated fruit, has given it weight and complexity. It is also beautifully fresh, with a sherbet explosion of lemon and verbena, plus Victoria plum and rich, ripe citrus. But as a counterbalance to the citrus, there is a billowing softness and gentle gossamer finish
It is very versatile and loves to be paired with prawns in Marie Rose sauce, smoked salmon, vegetable tarts, as well as lending itself to dishes which incorporate lighter cheeses, or succulent white meats such as turkey and chicken.
